Dr. Eric Obedy Gido
Dr. Eric Obedy Gido provides consulting services to institutions, agencies, and development organizations locally and internationally. He is a social scientist with a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. He has a Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics.
Dr. Gido is a researcher with over ten years of experience with a focus on agricultural value chain analysis, agricultural production systems, agricultural marketing systems, food security, household consumption behavior, farm and resource management, technology adoption, agribusiness management, development economics, and sustainable rural development as well improved nutrition and livelihoods assessment. He is experienced in monitoring and evaluation with capabilities in designing and undertaking Needs assessment, Feasibility studies, Baseline, Midline, End-line, and impact evaluation.
He has well-developed skills in project design, planning, management, and report writing. He is experienced in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and his data management and collection extend to the application of Kobo Toolbox, Open Data Kit (ODK), and Census and Survey Processing System (CSPro). He has adequate knowledge of data analytical techniques involving STATA, SPSS, and Ms. Excel computer software programs.
He has numerous publications in scientific journals and has supervised several PhD and Masters students to completion.
